16 May 2026: Boat trip
Last year we won a prize for being best dressed at the Sunshine Butterflies Walk in Wings charity event. The prize was a two hour boat trip on the river, courtesy of Pelican Boat Hire. About 20 of us each brought food and snacks to be shared so we enjoyed the day out, which was very sociable and let us see from the water the fabulous scenery that surrounds the Noosa River.
29 April 2026: Tour of Sunrise Beach Village
Keyton Holdings invited us to view their new development of retirement homes at Sunshine Beach. They gave us a tour of the facilities to demonstrate the high quality of the construction and the great facilities offered to their clients, including a swimming pool, a cinema, a gym and a library. They explained that their more active residents might be potential future members of our club.
The tour ended in their restaurant where we we given coffee and snacks.
As a gesture of their appreciation they gave us a donation of $500.
Sunday 8 February 2026: Socialising at the Royal Mail Hotel
We had a relaxed social event at the Royal Mail Hotel Tewantin QLD . River breezes, a few cold drinks and fab company. Great catching up and relaxing after a busy January – fun and friendships. UPDATE – Followers and Friends are always welcome at our socials to “come and check us out ” — We love meeting new folk and sharing the smiles.
Sunday 30 November 2025: Christmas party
Our past president Michael Roach and his wife Jaye opened their home for our Christmas get-together. We all brought contributions to the event so had a great meal and lively conversation. The only slight disruption was a strong squall that sent us fleeing from the table as the rain set in! Apart from that it was a very enjoyable afternoon
