We keep Personal Information of our members which can include their name, position, date of birth, current address, email address, telephone numbers, next of kin, bank details, preferred means of contact, hobbies and interests and photos of you. This is held for legitimate reasons and will be shared with Lions Australia and with other members of Tewantin-Noosa Lions Club. What rights you have over your data
You can at any time request a copy of any information we hold on you by contacting the Club Secretary. You can then request that we delete that information. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Why do we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information?
We collect, hold, use and disclose personal information for the following purposes:
- To communicate with our members, participants, sponsors, suppliers and the public about our club’s activities and programs,
- To better understand our membership characteristics and provide services to them
- as is reasonably necessary and convenient for our business functions and activities.
Unless otherwise provided by law, we will not collect, hold, use or disclose sensitive information without your consent.
Complaints
If you would like to make a complaint about the way we collect, use, disclose, store or administer your personal information, or otherwise consider there may be a breach of the Privacy Act or the APPs, you may lodge a complaint under our Complaints Policy.
All complaints will be treated seriously and dealt with promptly. The Complaints Policy is our way of ensuring your privacy concerns are raised and addressed promptly.
